RenIQ FAQ

Answers to common questions about how RenIQ works, pricing, and day-to-day use in real rental operations.

Frequently Asked Questions about RenIQ

1. Who is RenIQ for?

RenIQ is designed for property owners and small to mid-size landlords managing long-term rentals. It is built for real rental operations where invoices, contracts, and tenant information need to stay consistent over time.

2. Is RenIQ for short-term or holiday rentals?

No. RenIQ is built specifically for long-term renting. It is not designed for nightly bookings, channel management, or short-term rental platforms.

3. How does pricing work?

RenIQ uses a tiered monthly subscription based on the number of registered rental units in a property.
Within each tier, charges apply only to units that generate an invoice. Vacant units are not billed.

4. Is there a minimum monthly fee?

No. There is no minimum monthly charge. If a unit does not generate an invoice, it is not billed.

5. Is there a trial period?

Yes. The first billing period is not charged. This allows owners to set up their property, onboard tenants, and run RenIQ in real operation before charges apply.

6. Do tenants have to pay to use RenIQ?

No. Tenants use RenIQ at no cost. The subscription is paid by the property owner or property manager.

7. Can I start with only some units?

Yes. Units can be onboarded gradually. RenIQ is designed to support real-world onboarding where tenants and units may be added over time.

8. What happens if a unit becomes vacant?

If a unit is vacant and no invoice is generated for that period, no charge applies for that unit.

9. Is RenIQ legally compliant?

Yes. RenIQ provides Thailand-specific, legally compliant lease and rental contract templates as part of the tenant onboarding process. Contracts are generated based on the defined lease period, rental rules, unit information, and tenant details stored in the system.

During onboarding, tenants are presented with the applicable contract terms and house rules and must formally accept them. This ensures that tenant onboarding follows a clear, structured, and legally sound process.

Owners remain responsible for selecting and applying the appropriate contract templates for their rental setup.

10. Is RenIQ suitable for Thailand?

Yes. RenIQ is designed with direct experience from long-term rental operations in Thailand and reflects the practical and legal realities of the local market.
